Cochrane revolutionized the industry by employing the very first Bottom Scanning Sonars in the Gulf Of Mexico. These tools, while commonplace today, were not always. Cochrane pioneered the use of Bottom Scanning Sonar to locate lost objects, direct divers, map the seafloor, position rigs on existing locations for workover, locate leaking pipelines, recover lost aircraft, conduct humanitarian searches for drowning victims, track ROV's, perform platform inspections, and site clearance verification services.
Today, Cochrane employs the latest state of the art in acoustic imaging sonars, digital sidescan sonars, and sub-bottom profiler equipment in the industry.
