Acadiana Technical College Civil,
Surveying and Mapping students benefit from scholarship
donations. Several local businesses established a
scholarship with the Acadiana Technical College Foundation
benefiting the ATC Lafayette Campus Civil, Surveying and
Mapping program. Based on academic achievement and
leadership qualities, five students were selected as
scholarship recipients. ATC Lafayette Campus Civil, Surveying and Mapping Instructor Fred Dugdale stated, "We are very appreciative to Cochrane Technologies, C.L. Jack Stelly & Associates, C & C Technologies, Fenstermaker, and Furgo Chance for partnering with the Lafayette Campus Civil, Surveying and Mapping program. Their generosity contributes to a high qualified workforce for this in-demand industry." Acadiana Technical College campuses are: Acadian Campus in Crowley, Charles B. Coreil Campus in Ville Platte, Evangeline Campus in St. Martinville, Gulf Area Campus in Abbeville, Lafayette Campus in Lafayette, T. H. Harris Campus in Opelousas, and Teche Area Campus in New Iberia.

"CTI EMPLOYEES RECEIVE "SPOT AWARD" |
 On
Friday, December 16, 2011 CTI’s management
team issued a new award to two of their
employees. Chuck Sawyer, Project Manager,
and David Dubbs, Offshore Party Chief, were
given the “Spot Award” for going above and
beyond normal practices of their specific
job duties. Eligible employees have an
opportunity to be recognized for one-time
special achievements, creating role models
for others, and accomplishing noteworthy
activities related to
 fiscal roles and
duties. Given at the discretion of the CTI management team to reward meritorious
behavior, the award can be given as they occur or “on the spot”. In this case Chuck
and David were put on the spot during a
safety meeting right before our Christmas
celebration. They were unaware of the award
and were given a Certificate of Appreciation
along with a gift certificate.

COCHRANE TECHNOLOGIES, INC DONATES GIFTS FOR CHRISTMAS |

As the Christmas holidays are upon us many are out shopping and wishing all season’s greetings and spreading joyful cheer. And this year, as with many years in the past, Cochrane Technologies took this joyful cheer to another level by adopting a family from Faith House to give a mother and her 3 children a wonderful Christmas this year. CTI requested from Faith House a letter to Santa from each family member with details of particular gifts each member wanted. Upon receiving the letters, a team of Cochrane employees went out and purchased everything on the list from toys to clothing to appliances and games. Our employees expressed such joy they had in being part of this wonderful event. On Wednesday December 14, 2011 CTI presented the director and coordinator of Faith House the gifts, along with wrapping paper, for them to bring to the mother of the children so she could wrap and give the gifts to her children on Christmas Day. What a joyous time for this mother to have gifts to give her children and to see the wonderful smiles on their faces when they realize Santa gave them all they wished for.

COCHRANE TECHNOLOGIES, INC. CELEBRATES 31 YEARS |
 Cochrane Technologies, Inc (CTI) recently celebrated their 31st anniversary of being a dedicated company to oilfield services. November 14, 2011 marked 31 years that CTI has been in operation and the staff and management got together in celebration and enjoyed a small gathering amongst themselves to share stories, accomplishments, and future goals of CTI. Birthday cake was shared by all in honor of celebrating 31 awesome years of service. CTI plans to continue providing the best service to the offshore industries and our regular customers on a daily basis. This years’ celebration was a joyous and fulfilling time for all of us here at CTI.

CTI PARTICIPATES IN 2011 CHILLI COOK-OFF |

Cochrane Technologies, Inc. (CTI) participated in this year’s annual Chili Cook-off hosted by Halliburton in the parking lot of the Acadiana Mall. On November 10, 2011 CTI’s very own Mike Wallace, Kent Meaux, Mark Leblanc, and Sean Reed gathered early that morning at the mall to cook a very delicious and unique “White Bean Chili”, which was a hit! Visitors and taste testers gave great compliments on how delicious it was and we even had many come back for more. It turned out to be the biggest crowd ever to show up at the Chili Cook-off and the weather was perfect for some delicious, hot Chili. The white bean chili was such a hit there was no left over’s to bring back to the office as we all love to do each year. CTI loves to participate in this fun-filled and food filling event each year and plans to do it again. We extend our gratitude to the host of the event for allowing us to be part of the fun. |

Cochrane Technologies Exhibits at LAGCOE 2011 |
As this year’s LAGCOE (Louisiana Gulf Coast Oil Exhibition) closes, one can not help but feel the optimism that was evident at the trade show. This upbeat feeling sparked a positive feeling in the air regarding business for next year. Many exhibitors were showing off new products and services. This was one of the largest and best shows I can remember in my last 30 years of participation. We saw many of our customers and old friends.
Many of our customers came by to visit our booth and shared their positive feeling about next year. As usual the LAGCOE staff did an exceptional job with this year’s show.
